BEFORE WIU: Girardin was coached by WIU alum and track & field school record holder in the distance medley relay, Jared Schmidt. While at Liberty High School, Girardin was an 11x class 1A state qualifier. He boasts personal bests of 10.99 in the 100 meters, 22.35 in the 200 meters, and 6.65 meters (21' 10") in the long jump.
