Drew Kramer joined the Western Illinois Athletics Department in June 2011 as the Director of Strength and Conditioning. Kramer oversees all 20 Leatherneck NCAA Division I sports programs.

Prior to joining the Leathernecks, Kramer worked at Purdue University for five years as the assistant strength and conditioning coach. He worked directly with the softball, women's soccer, football and volleyball programs.

He designed, implemented and supervised the year-round strength, speed development and conditioning programs for his programs in addition to the daily operations and maintenance of the facility. Kramer also supervised student interns and graduate assistant coaches.

In addition to his experience with the Boilermakers, Kramer owns two years of experience as the head strength coach during his tenure at the University of West Georgia. He developed and implemented strength, speed, conditioning, and nutrition programs for all 12 Wolves sports programs.

Kramer worked two years as a graduate assistant at Auburn, supervising the men's golf, men and women's diving and men's basketball post players. He designed and implemented year-round programs for those programs directly, and assisted with 12 other teams during his time with the Tigers.

Throughout his career, Kramer has worked with several different teams that advanced to postseason play. As a Boilermaker, Kramer was part of the: 2006 Champs Bowl Football team, 2007 Motor City Bowl, four NCAA Tournaments by Volleyball including a 2010 Elite Eight appearance, three NCAA College Cup appearances by Women's Soccer and two Softball trips to the NCAA Regionals. The West Georgia men's basketball team advanced to the 2005 NCAA Tournament. While at Auburn, Kramer worked with SEC championship teams in: men's golf, women's swimming and diving, men's swimming and diving, and women's soccer.

Kramer played football collegiately at Chattanooga, lettering two years as an offensive lineman. He received his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, then earned a master's degree in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics from Auburn.

In 2007 he received his certification from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. Kramer also is certified with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and USA Weightlifting Association.

Drew and his wife Meagan have two children, Vivian and Hoyt.
