REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN (2010): Saw action in 13 games mainly on special teams... team-leading 14 tackles on special teams... season-high three tackles in the opener against Valparaiso... two stops against South Dakota State and Appalachian State... made a tackle in seven other games.

HIGH SCHOOL: Twice named First Team All-Chicago Catholic League... senior year listed among the Top 25 in the state... runner-up for the league's Defensive Player of the Year award... named to the Class 7A All-State team... led his team with 102 tackles following his junior year while recording 126 his senior year with two interceptions... Second Team All-Area in 2007... played for coach Dan O'Keefe.

PERSONAL: Full name is Nathaniel Bowman... No. 1 sports highlight was recording a sack his junior year to end the game against a rival school when they drove into field goal range... his cousin Napolean Harris has been a major influence, "He was the first person in my family to make it."... most admires former Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson, "He knew how to carry a team and win."... lists the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Cubs as favorite professional teams... favorite musician is Kanye West... son of Nathaniel and Natasha Bowman.
