2010 Summit League Winter/Spring Academic All-League Selection

2010 (JUNIOR): Appeared in two games and made one start... totaled five at-bats on the season...made his first start as a DH against Oakland (5/2)... also played catcher against Illinois College (5/4).

AT MATC MADISON: Batted .295 with six doubles, two triple and two home runs.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years in baseball, two in hockey... batted a school record .530 his senior year (record 62 hits), with 15 doubles, eight homers and only four strikeouts... three-time All-Conference pick... twice selected team captain... played for coach John Hansen.

PERSONAL: Born May 8, 1989... No. 1 sports highlight was his high school senior baseball season... God has been a major influence, "God has given me my abilities and chances to be here today."... most admires Tommy Murphy, "He's the hardest worker I know."... enjoys bowling, bow hunting and bike riding... favorite professional team is the Minnesota Twins... favorite musicians are Mercy Me and Kirk Franklin... son of Troy and Traci Murphy.
