Who we are: Leatherneck football has a proud history of success dating back to the beginning of the program in 1903, including 13 conference championships and 10 Division I playoff appearances. Individually, 11 Leathernecks have won a total of 15 conference player of the year honors. Nationally, James Milton and Edgerton Hartwell have each won the Buck Buchanan Award, as the top defensive player in FCS football. Off the field, 153 Leathernecks have earned academic all-conference recognition since 1994.
Why we are raising funds: We are raising funds to upgrade nutritional options offered to our football student-athletes throughout different times of the year. Whether it’s snacks before practice, additional protein options after training, or dinners used to surprise the team following vigorous preseason practices and workouts, it’s important to us to have healthy, effective options if we want to become bigger, faster and stronger.
How you can help: With your help, we can continue to make sure our football program has the best resources possible to improve their experience here at Western Illinois. All gifts made in support of our crowdfunding campaign are tax-deductible and count for Leatherneck Club credit. Any amount helps and goes a long way toward supporting our Leathernecks!
