MACOMB, IL. — Brooklynn Lewis, a graduate assistant for Student-Athlete Success and Support at Western Illinois University, has graduated with a Master's degree in Sport Management and secured a highly competitive, year-long Academic Fellowship with Florida State University.
Lewis's selection for the Florida State Student-Athlete Academic Services Fellowship Program marks a significant milestone in her emerging career in collegiate athletics. The fellowship is designed to train and develop future leaders in student-athlete academic support through an intensive, hands-on professional experience.
As an Academic Fellow, Lewis will participate in a rigorous training program designed to build the foundational knowledge and advanced skill set required to excel in the profession. The program prepares fellows to transition into full-time roles equipped to operate at a high level of proficiency within student-athlete academic services.
In her role, Lewis will work closely with academic advisors to coordinate academic enhancement support for assigned student-athletes and teams. Her responsibilities will also extend across multiple areas within Student-Athlete Academic Services, including academic mentoring, educational services, class attendance monitoring, study hall oversight, tutoring coordination, and additional program initiatives.
During her time at Western Illinois, Lewis played a key role in supporting student-athletes' academic achievement and personal development. Her commitment to holistic student success, combined with her strong work ethic and leadership, has positioned her as a rising professional in the field.
