Leathernecks Hit the Road to Take on Eastern Illinois  

Western Illinois hits the road this weekend to take on Eastern Illinois. The Leathernecks are coming off of their first OVC series win of the season and look to use that momentum going into the matchup. The Panthers are currently 1st in the OVC with a 9-0 record. 

Morehead State Recap  

Western Illinois took the series win against Morehead State last week winning 2 of 3. The Leathernecks dropped the first matchup before bouncing back winning games 2 in an extra inning contest that went to the 10th before Kam Utendorf won the game for the Leathernecks with an RBI single to score Addie McLaughlin. 

The 3rd game was a lower scoring affair that saw the Leathernecks win 4-2 behind solid pitching from both Audrey Clark and Libby Spaulding with timely hitting in the 5th and 6th inning.
