MACOMB, Ill.- Western Illinois guard Mia Nicastro has been named Player of the Week following a standout performance that fueled the Leathernecks to an impressive week of competition.

Nicastro delivered a dominant offensive showing, averaging 18.0 points per game while shooting an efficient 77.8 percent (7-of-9) from the field and a perfect 100 percent (3-of-3) from beyond the arc in a key matchup. In addition to her scoring ability, she impacted the game in multiple areas, pulling down five rebounds and dishing out two assists while maintaining strong defensive pressure.

Her ability to stretch the floor and capitalize on scoring opportunities provided a major spark for Western Illinois, particularly during pivotal stretches of the game. Nicastro's composure and confidence helped maintain momentum, as she consistently knocked down timely shots and created space for her teammates.
