MACOMB, IL – Sophomore pitcher Libby Spaulding has been named Ohio Valley Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week after a dominant performance in the Leathernecks' weekend series at Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Spaulding anchored Western Illinois on the mound across two appearances, tossing nine innings while allowing just one run. She struck out 13 batters and held opposing hitters in check throughout the series.
The sophomore highlighted her weekend with a complete-game shutout performance, leading the Leathernecks to an 8-0 victory in game two of the series.
