MACOMB, Ill. – The Western Illinois women's golf team returns to action at the MoState/Payne Stewart Memorial, looking to build on its performance at the Butler Fall Invitational.

The Leathernecks are coming off a ninth-place finish at the Butler Fall Invitational at Highland Golf Club in Indianapolis, Indiana. Western Illinois finished the tournament at 70-over par (+70), with freshmen Laura Cheng Milsgaard and Aradhana Manikandan leading the way individually. Both golfers tied for 11th place at eight-over par (+8) in a field of 87 competitors.

Milsgaard and Manikandan enter the tournament following a strong showing that earned them OVC Female Golfers of the Week honors. The freshman teammates will look to carry that momentum into the next event as Western Illinois continues its fall schedule.

The MoState/Payne Stewart Memorial provides another opportunity for the Leathernecks to build on their recent progress and continue competing against a strong field.
