WIU Tennis Adds One Recruit to 2025 Class

MACOMB, Ill.- Western Illinois Women's Tennis announced today the signing of Maarja Leinstrep to the 2025 class.

"Maarja is an aggressive player that will be a strong addition to the lineup in singles and doubles. Her level has been increasing quickly recently and we expect to continue that progress here. We are excited to have her join us and help us do great things in the OVC!" shared head coach Luke Ogren.

Leinstrep is from Tallinn, Estonia and previously was part of the EKSM tennis club, where she played for 5+ years. She joins a program who just came off their most wins since 2018.

Leinstrep chose WIU because of the culture and environment. "It is the best fit for me and I'm honored to attend this school"
