On July 11, 2023, Western Illinois University Athletic Director Paul A. Bubb has announced Luke Ogren as the new women's head tennis coach.

Ogren comes to Western Illinois from Lake Superior State, where he served as the head men's and women's tennis coach for the previous eight seasons.

During his time at Lake Superior State, Ogren coached multiple All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First and Second Teamers, including a pair of first-team members last year. He also coached last season's GLIAC Freshman of the Year for the women's program.

In his first season as head coach at Western Illinois, the Leathernecks went 2-16 overall, defeating IUPUI and Coe during the spring season.

Prior to his taking over the Lake Superior State coaching program, Ogren served as the club professional at Querbes Tennis Center in Shreveport, La.

A native of Escanaba, Mich., Ogren earned an associate's degree in business from Bay College in 2013 before going on to receive a bachelor's degree in business management from Lake Superior State University in 2015. A PTR certified tennis professional, Ogren completed cardio tennis instructor training.

Ogren was a two-year men's tennis letterwinner at LSSU.
