Western Illinois Finishes Road Trip at Lindenwood and SEMO

The Sweet 70's
Western Illinois currently sits 12-0 when scoring above the 70-point mark. The Leathernecks are 7-0 when they score more than 80 points.

Setting a New Bar
Head Coach JD Gravina became the winningest basketball coach in Western Illinois program history with a 65-59 victory. The win gives coach Gravina 193 career wins at WIU.    

Home Court Advantage
Western Illinois has taken full advantage of playing at home. The Leathernecks sit with a 10-1 record at home, defeating teams by an average of 30.75 points a game.

Chasing 1K
Senior Anna Deets has been a dominant scorer her entire career. Deets now sits 31 points away from reaching the 1,000-point mark in her Leatherneck career. 

Freshman Rising
Raegan McCowan has been leading the Leathernecks all season long. Named the OVC Freshmen of the Week nine times this season, McCowan is averaging 18.5 and 7.9 rebounds for WIU.

Crashing the Glass
The Western Illinois squad has outrebounded its opponents by 799-671. The Leathernecks hold a 6.8 rebound differential. Western Illinois is cleaning up the offensive glass, outrebounding opponents 233-194 on that side of the ball.

Battling the Lions
Western Illinois is set to take on the Lindenwood Lions for the second time this season. WIU won the first match up 74-59 on Jan. 6th. Addi Brownfield led the way with 19 points and seven rebounds.

Double Figure Machine
Raegan McCowan has been a double-figure scoring machine. The freshman has scored double figures in 18 of the 19 games she has played this season.

Bench Production
Mallory McDermott has been a spark off of the Western Illinois bench. The Leathernecks are 6-1 when she knocks down three or more three-pointers in a game. McDermott had four three-pointers against Morehead State.

OVC Rankings
Western Illinois ranks number one in the OVC in points scored at 76.1 and points margin at 11.6. The Leathernecks are also number  one in opponent 3-point field goal percentage (27.7), Rebounds (42.1), Team defensive rebounds (29.8), Rebound Margin (6.7)
 
On the player side, Raegan McCowan ranks first in points (18.5), fourth in rebounds (7.9), and second in field goal percentage (48.1%). Anna Deets is second in free throws at 84.6%
