Clock Tower Community Bank Extends Partnership with Western Illinois

MACOMB – The Western Illinois University Athletics department has reached a five-year corporate sponsorship agreement with Clock Tower Community Bank, a division of Morton Community Bank. The Leathernecks and Clock Tower Community Bank share an extensive history and a prominent relationship throughout west central Illinois.

"Clock Tower Community Bank is pleased to extend our relationship with Leatherneck Athletics," said Todd V. Lester, Community President of Clock Tower Community Bank in Macomb. "We are especially proud to work with the Women in Leadership program, the Rocky's Kids Club and serve as community ambassadors for all Leatherneck athletics."

Clock Tower Community Bank's sponsorship with the Leathernecks solidifies an existing relationship between the company and Western Illinois University's athletics department, who, together, have initiated the Women in Leadership program which includes a series of events to highlight women in leadership seminars and luncheons centered around the WIU female student-athletes. The Women in Leadership program was launched originally in 2022 and will continue through 2028.

"Clock Tower Community Bank has truly been a consistent friend to WIU Athletics," states Paul A. Bubb, director of athletics at WIU. "This five-year commitment represents exactly what Clock Tower Community Bank embodies in the greater Macomb area.  Their support of the Leathernecks comes at an important time in WIU Athletics history as we head into the first full year of membership in the Ohio Valley Conference."

The six-figure financial agreement, which runs through the 2027-28 athletic season supports the Leathernecks through corporate sponsorship of all Western's NCAA Division I athletic teams. Included in the agreement is the continuation of the Clock Tower Bank Rocky's Kids Club.

"We are all Leatherneck fans and one of the best ways for our communities to support the WIU athletics department is to ensure the next generation of fans have access to all the home sporting events hosted by the Leathernecks. Through Rocky's Kids Club, we are creating future Leatherneck fans," adds Laura Leezer, Senior Vice President at Clock Tower Community Bank in Macomb.

Rocky's Kids Club, sponsored by Clock Tower Community Bank is available for young Leatherneck fans ages 12 and under.  The club is a great way for young fans to meet friends, cheer on the Fighting Leathernecks, and attend Western Illinois University Athletic events. With the purchase of a membership, Rocky's Kids Club members enjoy a variety of benefits, including: admission to all WIU home athletic events, Official Leatherneck Membership Card signed by Rocky, Rocky's Kids Club T-shirt, opportunities to hang with Colonel Rock IV and Rocky, and activities, food, and fun on game day. The agreement and extension were negotiated by Leatherneck Sports Properties and represents the vision of progressive community involvement under the direction of athletic director Bubb, which is outlined in his comprehensive 2023 WIU athletics strategic plan.
