Western Illinois Announces Partnership with NOCAP Sports

MACOMB -- Western Illinois University Athletics recently partnered with NOCAP Sports to provide Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities for Leatherneck student-athletes.

NOCAP Sports is a comprehensive technology platform uniting brands, agencies, and athletes, making athlete marketing deals easy to build, measure, and scale.

"We are super excited to be working closely with Western Illinois on the NIL front," said Nicholas Lord, co-founder and CEO of NOCAP Sports. "As the space continues to evolve, it is important that schools are adapting and adding on resources to help connect their athletes with tangible NIL opportunities."

Through the partnership with NOCAP, Leatherneck student-athletes now have access to a marketplace that connects them with brands and agencies for NIL opportunities. NOCAP Sports also provides education on how their platform works and on personal branding, which Leatherneck student-athletes took part in earlier this semester.

"I am pleased to provide this service to our student-athletes to make the most of their NIL opportunities working through NOCAP," said Western Illinois Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Paul A. Bubb. "This will give our student-athletes an advantage as they manage their opportunities because of their participation in NCAA Division I sports. This is a good partnership for our department, our student-athletes, and NOCAP."
