Men's basketball is hosting a pair of camps this summer, holding an individual camp as well as a team camp. The team camp takes place June 10 inside Western Hall and features competitive games with Illinois High School Association Officials.

"Team camp is a great way for high school programs to stay competitive over the summer," WIU coach Chad Boudreau said. "We love watching high school teams compete inside Western Hall. Our staff looks forward to getting to know your teams and staff this coming June."

The individual camp for men's basketball runs June 28-30 for students entering third through eighth grade.

The Leatherneck volleyball program is also hosting multiple camps inside Western Hall this summer.

Coach Dale Starr and his staff are hosting a Two-Day Elite Prospect Camp July 9 and 10 for students entering ninth-12th grades, a One-Day All Skills Camp on July 11 for students entering seventh-12th grades, a Positional Skills Clinic for students entering grades seven through 12 on July 12 and 13 and a Lil' Necks Camp on July 14 and 15 for students entering grades one through six.

"We are looking forward to a terrific camp experience for everyone this summer," Coach Starr said. "We can't wait to get all of our aspiring volleyball players and future Leathernecks in the gym! Come on over to Western Hall and learn from our coaches and current Leatherneck volleyball players!"

Outside of Western Hall, Leatherneck football coach Myers Hendrickson and his staff the program are also hosting a variety of prospect camps on June 26.

The Western Illinois Big Man Camp for campers will be for prospective offensive and defensive linemen entering grades nine-12. The Leatherneck Skills Camp is for prospects entering ninth through 12th grades. There will also be a Specialists Camp for those entering grades nine and 12 as well as for junior college prospects.

"Our Leatherneck Football camps allow us the opportunity to work with student-athletes and help teach technique and fundamentals of the game," Hendrickson said. "This is a great way to improve and compete as a high school student-athlete over the summer. Several campers from last year's camps are joining our program as Leathernecks this year. We're looking to continue to build on that, as these camps give us a great opportunity to teach the game while evaluating for future Leathernecks."
