WIU heads to the Hawkeye Invitation

The Leathernecks are making one last stop in Iowa City to compete in the Hawkeye Invitational before they head to the Summit League Championship beginning on April 30th. 
 
Last time out | Western Illinois traveled to Nebraska to compete in the Stampede at the Creek. WIU finished in seventh place at the tournament with a +35 score. Parker Govern led the Leathernecks with a three-round score of 218, having him tied for eighth. The senior had eleven birdies in the tournament. 
 
Tournament Format | The Leathernecks will tee off at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City. The course is a par 72, with a yardage of 7,174. Due to potential weather, the two-day event has been moved up a day. Originally slated to start on Saturday morning, round one of the three-round event will begin on Friday afternoon. Teams will play the final two rounds starting at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
 
Competition | Central Arkansas, Creighton, Drake, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Northern Illinois, South Dakota State, St. Thomas, Tarleton State, UMKC, and Wichita State.
