WIU Athletics Introduces New-Look Website

Leatherneck Athletics is pleased to present a refreshed website at GoLeathernecks.com. The athletic department and their communications partner, Sidearm Sports, began work on the updated look in the fall of 2022 and are pleased to present this new look to the Western Illinois University Leatherneck community.

"I believe our website is one of the primary ways we can communicate with our fans," said Paul A. Bubb, Director of Athletics. "This refreshed look along with some new features will improve how we communicate, including easy access for finding upcoming schedules and recent results."

The refreshed design includes a "ticker" across the top of the front page which lists upcoming contests as well as recent results for all of the Leatherneck 17 NCAA Division I sports, making the new website more fan and user friendly. The site also includes direct links to major corporate partners of Leatherneck Athletics as well as a more distinct look for the site.

"We wanted to have a bolder and more dynamic look to our website," Bubb shared in discussing the refreshed look. "There are some subtle changes, but given a new background and layout, we believe all of this added with some new features that make navigating the site easier, will result in a better fan experience when visiting GoLeathernecks.com."
