Previous matchup: WIU holds a 2-7-1 record all time against Omaha, losing 3-0 in a match played in Omaha this year. Western is currently on a 6-game losing skid against the Mavericks, dating back to 2016. Western looks to bounce back against the Mavericks this Saturday.

Scouting the opponents: Omaha has a 5-6-4 overall record, and a 2-2-2 record in Summit League play. The Mavericks stand in good position to make the Summit League Tournament, as the squad's eight points have them in third place currently. Omaha would clinch a spot in the tournament with a win or draw in Macomb. However, this could prove difficult, as the Mavericks have an 0-5-3 record away from home on the year. The Mavericks are led by junior duo Theo Klein and Junior Casillas, who have scored 6 goals each on the season.

So far this season: Western holds a 2-12-1 record with 3 points in Summit League play, currently sitting in fifth place in the conference. The Leathernecks have lost their last four matches, with the past two coming on the road against Kansas City and Oral Roberts. Western looks to get back on track this Saturday by getting a big result against the Mavericks.

Players to watch: The Leathernecks celebrate a class of seven seniors who will depart the program following the conclusion of the season. Kyle Owen, Tyreke Moore, Tajh Hylton, Cian McNamara, Caleb Ragland, Sofian Maghouz, and Jack Immesoete make up this year's class of seniors. Moore and Maghouz have been nursing injuries for a majority of the 2023 season. Immesoete recovered from injury mid-season and has appeared in eight matches this year. McNamara transferred in from Cornell College early on this season, and had appeared in eleven matches. Hylton has played a key role off the bench as a defender, playing over 500 minutes this season. Caleb Ragland has played all ninety minutes in nine of his fourteen starts this year, and Owen leads the team in minutes shot attempts, and shots on goal on the year.

What's next: The Leathernecks will wrap up the Summit League season with a match on November 4th, in Saint Paul, Minnesota versus St. Thomas.
