Summit League Announces Scheduling Updates

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Summit League officials announced Thursday two scheduling adjustments for the conclusion of the women's basketball regular season. The Western Illinois contest scheduled for Thursday at Omaha that was postponed earlier in the week will now be considered a no contest and will not be rescheduled due to a lack of available dates with the postseason tournament starting Saturday, March 5. The Western Illinois-South Dakota game that was postponed from last Saturday, Feb. 19, has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. CT and will be played in Macomb as originally scheduled.

Western Illinois has been cleared from the League's Covid-19 protocols and will return to action Saturday, playing its regularly-scheduled contest at Denver with tip off slated for 2 p.m. MT.

These decisions were based on the guidelines established earlier in the season when the Joint Council approved adjustments to the basketball rescheduling policy.
