WIU Men's Golf Wrap Up Fall Season

WIU finishes 8th

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Western Illinois Men's Golf team wrapped up their fall season at the Iowa Fall Classic on Monday (Oct. 17). The Leathernecks finished in eighth place with an overall score of +95 over par.

Dylan Cervantes led the Leathernecks with a T-24 (+17) finish. Cervantes shot a team-low 76 in round two of the tournament. Back-to-back birdies on holes three and four propelled his second round. Cervantes had six birdies all weekend, with three coming in the final round.

Parker Govern finished behind Cervantes on WIU. Govern ended the Iowa Fall Classic T-43 (+26). Govern also had a solid third round tallying three birdies in the competition.

As a team, WIU finished T-1 in eagles in the tournament. Nathan Tillman got the eagle to drop on the par four 13th.
