Men’s Golf Adds Maple Leaf Junior Tour Winner

Kye Krall joins the Leathernecks after a successful high school career in Canada.

Macomb, Ill.- Western Illinois Men's Golf is excited to welcome new signee Kye Krall. Krall comes to Western Illinois from Joane Cardinal Schubert High School in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
 
"I'm excited to have Kye join the team this fall. His solid fundamentals, work ethic and tournament experience have prepared him well for Division I golf," said WIU Director of Golf Lia Biehl Lukkarinen. "Kye will be an immediate asset to our program."
 
Krall had a number of accomplishments during his high school career and is ranked 27th in the Maple Leaf Junior Tour Order of Merit in Canada. The Maple Leaf Junior Tour is Canada's number one-played Junior Golf Tour as well as the only national junior tour run exclusively by PGA of Canada Professionals and the Road to College Golf in Canada. While competing in the Maple Leaf Junior Tour, Krall finished in the top-eight four times and the top-four five times. He has one Maple Leaf Junior Tour win, finishing with a 71 (-1) in round one and a 72 (E) in round two.
 
Along with his success in the Maple Leaf Junior Tour, he placed fifth at the Alberta Provincial Championship with scores of 75 (+3) and 71 (-1), fourth at the Maple Leaf Junior Tour Alberta Series (75,75), t-third in Edge School Showcase (73,74), and third at the Western Championship (73,74).
