Kickoff | After a non-league game last week, the Western Illinois men's soccer team travels to EIU for the regular-season finale on Saturday.

One of a Kind | This season eight different players - Luke Duball, Kyle Owen, Cameron Territo*, Cesar Cosio, Ryan DeBois, Logan Lommel*, Devan DiGrado*, Paul Kirdorf - have scored a goal this season.

Similar, nine separate Leathernecks - Cosio, Duball, Owen, Territo*, Michael Howell, Arian Mehrang, Daisuke Otsuka*, Caleb Ragland, Damian Rincon* - have earned an assist.
*First career goal or assist

Down goes No. 18 | The Leathernecks swept the series against No. 18 Oral Roberts and recorded back-to-back clean sheets against the Golden Eagles. The wins also marked the first time in program history that Western has beat two wins versus ranked opponents in the same season.

Debuts | Seven student-athletes have made their debuts for WIU this season - Wail Alghaim, Kory Soulinthavong, Muazu Sagir, Mekhi Royes, Devan DiGrado, Damian Rincon, and Alex Flowers.

Scouting the Panthers | Saturday's meeting will mark the 58th meeting between both sides… the Panthers are 0-7-2 in Summit play and were swept by Denver… EIU has earned ties vs. WIU and Kansas City… goalie Jonathan Burke leads the league with 58 saves.

Last Time vs. EIU |  The Western Illinois men's soccer team (0-0-1, 0-0-1) opened Summit League play in a double-overtime thriller against Eastern Illinois (0-1-1, 0-0-1) on Friday (Feb. 12) night as both sides played to a 1-1 draw.

A Summit League Preseason Player to Watch, Cesar Cosio (28') proved why in the season opener. The junior found the back of the net off an acrobat shot that was flicked along by Daisuke Otsuka and Michael Howell.

Sophomore Seanan Main earned his first career start in net and recorded 10 saves, highlighted by five in the second half. Eastern Illinois scored in the 74th minute that set up overtime. Both sides had good looks in extra time, and back-to-back saves from Main in the 104th and 105th minute kept the game tied.

Summit Schedule | The Joint Council agreed to grant the league's automatic bid to the regular-season champion and forego a Championship in the spring with Western Illinois, the 2019 regular-season co-champion, retaining the right to the 2021 Championship.
