Biography

SENIOR (2021): No season appearances due to injury.

JUNIOR (Spring 2021): Summit League Preseason Player to Watch… Started seven games… scored the first goal of the season in the opener vs. Eastern Illinois (Feb. 12)... assisted on the game-winning goal against No. 18 Oral Roberts (March 18)... played all 90 minutes or more in every game… logged 650 minutes… had four shots.

SOPHOMORE (2019): All-Summit League Second Team… Started 18 games… scored his first career goal for the go-ahead goal against Denver (Oct. 12)... earned first career assist at IUPUI (Oct. 30)... took 18 shots, four on frame… totaled 1518 minutes.

FRESHMAN (2018): Played 14 games and recorded 1,229 minutes… took 12 shots and one on goal.

HIGH SCHOOL: Joins the men's soccer program from Mount Carmel High School, where he was a three-year letterwinner at midfield and forward… named All-State, All-Area, Offensive Player of the Year and to the All-American Watch List as a senior… As a junior, he was named Athlete of the Month and Year, All-American and helped lead his team as to a state final appearance… Academically, he has been named to the Honor Roll all four years, along with being named a two-time Student of the Month and an All-Academic team honoree.
 
PERSONAL: Born Dec. 22, 1999… son of Alejandro and Casio and Celina de la Torre… favorite sports moment is getting the winning goal in super-sectionals to take Mount Carmel High School to State for the first time ever in the history of the soccer program… cite his cousin Miguel as his biggest sports influence… “He passed away recently, and he is the one that got me involved in soccer and he encouraged me to join a team” … hobbies include playing soccer or drawing, along with taking pictures and cooking… majoring in engineering/business.
