2019-20 Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence

91 Leathernecks earned a 3.50 GPA or higher during the 2019-20 academic year.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Honored for their commitment to scholastic success, Western Illinois Athletics saw 91 of its student-athletes named to the Summit League's Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence.

The list was announced Wednesday (July 22), a day after 156 Leathernecks garnered league honor roll distinction. Ninety-one WIU student-athletes, 101 total selections, which accounts for athletes on more than one team, both rank fourth most in the Summit.

To be selected to the Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence, a student-athlete must carry a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA, have used a year of eligibility and completed one academic year at the nominating institution.
