MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois University student-athletes were quite busy this fall semester. Twenty-one wrapped their undergraduate studies, and overall a 3.188 grade point average marked the fourth-highest term GPA in departmental history.
WIU Athletics also saw 39 Leathernecks finish the semester with a perfect 4.0, while 233 (66 percent of the entire student-athlete population) recorded a 3.0 or higher. The 3.188 cemented the 25th consecutive semester Western student-athletes have registered a higher GPA than the University's Macomb campus (3.077).
