The final round of the Tiger Fall Invitational was rained out as Kyle Irlbacker placed in fifth after day one

SAVANNAH, Ga. — The final round of the Tiger Fall Invitational was rained out at Crosswinds Golf Club on Tuesday (Oct. 29). Play had already begun before the third round was declared a wash, meaning that all scores reverted back to the end of round two. Western Illinois men's golf finished fourth with a combined score of 597.

"We were playing very well before the storm blew in," Director of Golf Lia Biehl Lukkarinen said. "We were disappointed not to be able to make up a little ground but I'm pleased with Kyle's performance. We are already making swing adjustments as we move into the offseason."

After the final round was washed out, Kyle Irlbacker snagged fifth place at 145 (+1) through two rounds. Joe Burke finished tied for ninth overall at 147 (+3). Dylan Cervantes wound up a 151 (+7) while Wyatt Spier (154) and Cameron Karney (163) rounded out the group.

Florida A&M won the event after collecting a combined team score of 577.

The fall season for Leatherneck men's golf came to an end with the spring slate to be announced at a later date.
