LAST TIME OUT: The Leathernecks could not pick up a win last weekend in the Runnin' Bulldogs Tournament. The Bolingbrook, Ill. native recorded seven strikeouts in six innings of work, yielding five hits and one earned run. In the second game of the day, Hailey Duwa went 3-for-3 against Gardner-Webb including an RBI double to plate the Leathernecks' sole run in another loss.

HOT HOLLATZ: Halle Hollatz ranks fifth in The Summit League in both batting average, claiming a .370 stroke at the plate, and home runs with two.

GLOVIN' IT: Western Illinois ranks 76 out of 315 Division-I teams and second in The Summit League in fielding percentage, boasting a .968 percentage.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS: UT Martin enters the Frost Classic with a 3-6 record and is coming off of a 7-2 win against Appalachian State. This is only Western Michigan's seventh contest of the year. In the Broncos' first and only tournament of the season, they beat No. 19 BYU 2-1 and Purdue 15-7. Alabama State is 4-5 so far this season and SEMO is 2-3 with wins over UMKC and South Dakota State.

LOOKING AHEAD: WIU continues its road slate in Auburn, Alabama for a tournament beginning March 2 and finishing up March 4. The Leathernecks will face UNC Wilmington twice, Auburn twice and Western Carolina once.
