Registration Open for 2017 Billy Wright Basketball Camp

The basketball camp is open to boys entering grades 4th-10th in 2017-18 and costs $150 per camper.

MACOMB, Ill. - Registration for Billy Wright Basketball Camp on the campus of Western Illinois University is now open. To register, see the attached brochure in .PDF format at the top of this article or call the basketball office at 309-298-1224.

The 2017 Billy Wright Basketball Camp is open to boys entering grades 4th-10th in 2017-18 and costs $150 per camper. The first three days of camp will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Thursday's running from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

"Basketball is a year-round sport and for those kids who want to compete at the high school and collegiate level it's important to attend summer camp and work to improve their skills," said head coach Billy Wright. "Skill development is a major point of emphasis in my program which is why this camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game and campers will learn many of the drills we use with our own team."

The 2017 summer camp will feature instruction from Western Illinois coaches and players, lunch for all campers, an on-site athletic trainer, post-camp awards and a t-shirt.

"The camp also strives to educate participants about offensive and defensive concepts. It will be exciting, energetic and fun. I'm confident campers will leave with drills they can use to help them improve their overall skills," concluded Wright.
