Men's Golf Concludes Day One at UMKC Bill Ross Intercollegiate

The Leathernecks head into Tuesday's third round in 11th

DAY ONE RESULTS

RAYMORE, Mo. – Western Illinois men's golf finished the opening day of UMKC's Bill Ross Intercollegiate in 11th place with a two-round total of 603. The Leathernecks opened the day with a 297 in round one before carding a 306 in round two. The event is taking place at Creekmoor Golf Club in Raymore, Mo.

Two Leathernecks share the team lead with scores of 147 in freshman Drew Eaton and junior Sean Miller. Eaton opened with a 73 before shooting a 74, while Miller carded a round-one score of 75 before firing a 72 (E).

Sophomore John Duggan III ranks third on the team with a 155 after tallying scores of 75 and 80 during day one.

Sophomore Jackson Wetherbee and junior Trey Timpe finished Monday with two-round marks of 157 and 158, respectively. Wetherbee shot a 74 before recording an 83 during the second 18 holes, while Timpe tallied scores of 78 and 80.

The third and final round is slated for a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
