Brownlee Announces Dates for Leatherneck Hitting League and Pitching Camp

Hitting and pitching instruction will be available for youth, ages 7 - High School starting Sunday (Nov. 2).

MACOMB, Ill. - Head Coach Ryan Brownlee and the Western Illinois baseball staff will be hosting an instructional hitting league and pitching camp every Sunday starting November 2 and running through December 7. Costs range from $20 per hitting or pitching session to $180 for all six weeks of both hitting and pitching sessions.

The league and camp are open to youth ages 7 - high school, but there is a limit of 20 participants per hour session. The sessions will be held in Western Hall on the south balcony by the batting cages with hour time slots starting at noon and running until 3 p.m.

Instruction provided by Western's expert staff will focus on developing area youth while also educating on what it takes to be a great athlete at all levels. Participants will get hands on experience and knowledge from the staff on becoming a better hitter or pitcher while learning about individualized mechanics and personal care.
