Jamie Goss Recognized by College Sports Madness

MACOMB, Ill. - Fighting Leatherneck infielder Jamie Goss was tabbed Summit League 'Player of the Week' by College Sports Madness Monday (April 2).

Goss led Western with six runs batted in on the week, plating two in three different games, helping Western to a perfect 4-0 record on the week.

To go along with her six RBI, the Indianapolis, Ind. native concluded last week connecting on five hits in 14 at bats, with two doubles, one walk, and three runs scored.

Goss sits second on the team in batting average, hitting at a .355 clip, with 39 hits, four doubles, three triples, and four home runs. She also has a team-best 30 RBI, and sits 11 away from setting a new career mark for RBI (143).

The Leathernecks will continue play at home Tuesday (April 3) when they play host to Northern Iowa for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
