Athletics Partners with Amtrak/Macomb Travel Center, Go West and Sports Corner

MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois Athletics, in cooperation with Amtrak/Macomb Travel Center, Go West and the Sports Corner @ 124 Restaurant, have announced a special offer for the Leatherneck Football game against Northern Iowa on Saturday, November 20th.

Fans on the Amtrak train route between Chicago and Macomb can purchase ticket packages for the Leathernecks' regular season finale. Amtrak stops at Naperville, Plano, Mendota, Princeton and Kewanee en route to Macomb. The package includes: round trip train ticket, a general admission ticket to the football game, round trip bus ride from the train station to Hanson Field and post-game chili courtesy of Sports Corner @ 124.

Train tickets can be purchased through the Macomb Travel Center by calling 800-932-5531. Game tickets will be mailed with the train ticket, or will also be available at the Macomb Amtrak station on November 20th when fans arrive.

Go West buses will pick up passengers at the station when the train arrives at 10:40 a.m. and will return passengers following the game, kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m.

Sports Corner @ 124 will sponsor the post-game meal, consisting of chili and homemade chips, in addition to their normal gameday food and drink specials. The Amtrak train departs Macomb at approximately 6:18 p.m.

We want to give them an affordable option to attend the game and help the Leathernecks defend our turf. Their willingness to partner with us for this important Missouri Valley Football Conference game is a testament to all of the support we have received from the community."
