Zach Trevino is a young and driven coach from Davenport Iowa. He began his coaching career as a Strength and Conditioning Intern with UConn Football during the summer of 2022, gaining hands-on experience working with Division I athletes and refining his expertise in player performance and conditioning.
Trevino then furthered his skills in this area with the University of Iowa Football team in the fall of 2022, continuing to build his foundation in athletic development.
In the fall of 2023, Zach transitioned to on the field coaching at Solon High School in Iowa as an Assistant Coach, where he contributed to a successful season, helping the team achieve an 11-2 record and finish 3rd in Class 3A. This experience was pivotal in shaping his coaching philosophy.
Trevino started working at Western in May 2024 in a Quality Control role assisting with the Quarterbacks. During the 2024 season, Trevino completed his first year of college coaching, assisting with the No. 1 offense in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC)-Big South. Working directly under Head Coach Joe Davis, he played a key role in the development of QB Nate Lamb, who set multiple records, including ranking No. 2 in individual total offense across all of FCS. Lamb earned three Big South/OVC Player of the Week honors and broke the school and conference record with 564 passing yards in a game against Lindenwood. The offense finished the season with the No. 1 ranking in passing efficiency.
After the 2024 season he was promoted to Offensive Graduate Assistant still assisting with the Quarterbacks.
Trevino graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s in Health and Human Physiology.
