Biography
JUNIOR (2021): Suffered a season-ending injury in mid-September... still ended second on the team in assists (248)... reached new career-highs on the Sept. 10 (Eastern Kentucky Invitational), when she registered 51 and 52 assists against Western Carolina and Eastern Kentucky, respectively... tallied 41 assists and 16 digs versus Chattanooga (Sept. 4).
SOPHOMORE (2020-21): Played in 12 matches ... finished second on the team in assists (145) ... racked up 12 total service aces ... handed out 21 assists at South Dakota State (Feb. 1) ... totaled 14 digs versus North Dakota.
FRESHMAN (2019): As a freshman, Connell played in all 29 matches starting in 21… she led the team in assists with 519 as well as service aces with 36… led the Summit League in service aces for the majority of 2019 regular season… notched 178 digs.
HIGH SCHOOL: Connell comes from Catholic Memorial High School in Dousman, Wisc. and played at the club level for Motion Volleyball. Connell was a three-year varsity letter-winner in volleyball where she participated on the team to win the state championship her sophomore season. She received conference honorable mention her junior and senior season. She was named three time all-academic team her sophomore, junior, and senior season.
WHY SHE CHOSE WESTERN: “I chose Western Illinois University because, it is the best place for me to pursue my academic career.”

INTENDED MAJOR: Exercise Science (Pre-Physical Therapy)
