Overview: Miller concluded her career as the only player program history to occupy a spot in the top ten of career assists (1,744) and career digs (1,133). Miller ranks seventh in both assists and digs, and finished with 28 career double doubles. Off the court, Miller was recognized as a Summit League Academic All-League selection and was a recipient of the Western Illinois Student-Athlete Provost award in 2009. She was also one of four Western Illinois student-athletes named to the National Strength and Conditioning Association All-American list in April 2010.
2010 (Senior season): Saw action in all 30 matches (team-high 116 sets) ... Split time at both setter and libero ... 2009 (junior season): Took over as Western's setter after spending a year at defensive specialist and played in all 118 sets for the Leathernecks... Her 1,134 assists led the Summit League and rank as the fourth-highest season assists total in school history...ranked fourth in The Summit League with an average of 9.49 assists per set and third in the league with an average of 9.65 assists per set in conference play...recorded 40 or more assists in 13 matches with three matches of 50-plus assists...recorded a season-best 55 assists against SIU-Carbondale (Aug. 29) for the second-highest four-set assists total of any Summit League player during the 2009 season...also led Western with 377 digs and ranked second on the team with 3.19 digs per set...recorded double-doubles (assists-digs) in 21 of 31 matches, including a streak of 11-consecutive double-doubles to end the season...had five matches with 20 or more digs...recorded a career-best 31 digs against UMKC (Sept. 19) for the second-highest four-set digs total of any player in The Summit League during the 2009 season...named Summit Leauge defensive player of the week Sept. 21 after averaging 4.08 digs per set in wins over Bradley, UMKC and Southern Utah...fell two kills short of a triple-double with eight kills, 47 assists and 31 digs against UMKC (Sept. 19)...fell just four kills short of reaching the milestone of 100 kills, 1,000 assists and 300 digs in a season.
2008 (sophomore season): Finished the season with the third-most digs on the team (262)...became top dig leader returning for the 2009 season...averaged 2.18 digs per set, the third highest average for the Westerwinds...opened the season with a career-best 17 digs against Lipscomb (Aug. 29)...recorded 39 assists, the third most of her team...had a career-best five assists against UMKC (Oct. 3)...played in all 120 sets (31 total matches), earning 22 match starts...named to the Summit League Fall Academic All-League Team.
2007 (freshman season): Saw action in 27 of 31 matches for Western, starting in seven...was second on the team in assists with 229...added 111 digs, eight kills, and eight service aces... earned all-Summit League academic honors.
High School
A four-year member of the Marist varsity volleyball squad...played with Western Illinois’ Elise Crnjak for three seasons...named to the ESOC all-conference team in 2006 and 2005...earned Red Hawk MVP honors in 2005...Marist finished 29-6 in 2006, after falling in the IHSA sectional...also particpated in track and field for one season while a prep...named to the honor roll in 2004 and 2005...also participated with the Celtic Force 15’s and was part of the teams USA Volleyball National Championship Open Division title in 2004.
