HIGH SCHOOL: Shult comes from Oconomowoc High School in Oconomowoc, Wisc. and played at the club level for VC United. She was a three-year varsity letter-winner in volleyball where she participated in two state championship matches her freshman and senior year finishing runner-up in each, as well as a participating in a semi-final state match her junior year. Sophomore season she received second team all-conference. Shult was on honor roll and received scholar athlete recognition. Her junior year, Shult received first team all-conference and all-state honorable mention. Leading her team with a .436 hitting percentage, 123 blocks, and 240 kills in her senior season Shult received first team all-conference and all state team recognition.

WHY SHE CHOSE WESTERN:  “I really believe in the coaching staff and the things they want to do for WIU volleyball. I think I could help which is something I am very excited about!”

COACH'S COMMENTS: "At 6'3', Elle will be a force to be reckoned with anywhere in the front row for the Leathernecks. Her power, positive attitude and drive are all things she can bring to our team. Elle comes from an elite high school and club program so we are excited to see that translate into our gym."
