2007 (senior season): Earned All-Summit League First Team honors for the third straight season...finished her career with 1,235 kills after recording her 1,000th career kill September 18 against Drake...her kill performance ranks her in the No. 4 position on Western’s all-time top-10 kills list...is also ranked in the career top-10 lists for total attempts (T-4th/3,099), total blocks (10th/243), block assists (7th/229), service aces (10th/127), and attack percentage (T-6th/.254)...recorded a team high 53 service aces, good for the seventh best in a season...tallied 13 double-doubles and helped lead the Westerwinds to their fourth-consecutive conference tournament appearance...ranked second in the league for her 0.45 service aces per game and sixth for her .252 (382k-134e-986ta) hitting percentage.

2006 (junior season):  Named 2006 Mid-Continent Conference co-Player of the Year and to the Mid-Con First Team...was the only player in the conference to rank in the top-five in hitting percentage (second, .346) and kills per game (fifth, 3.61)...tabbed a career-high 22 kills in a five-game victory over Valparaiso, October 6...recorded a season high hitting percentage of .607 (18-1-28) in Western’s victory over Eastern Illinois, September 9...hit .400 or better 11 times...posted double-digit kills in 10 matches...had a career-high five service aces in a five-game win over Oral Roberts...named Pizza Hut Invitational Tournament MVP...ranked second in the Mid-Con with 22 service aces in conference play.

2005 (sophomore season): Honored as an All Mid-Con First Team member...earned conference player of the week honors November 7 after recording 19 kills against Bradley and 11 at UMKC...named team co-MVP...led the Westerwinds in kills per game (2.84) and hitting percentage (.223)...second on the team in service aces (34)...also contributed 183 digs and 63 blocks during the campaign.

2004: Redshirt season.

2003 (freshman season): Earned Mid-Con All-Freshman Team honors...appeared in 95 games...averaged 2.56 kills per game, second to teammate Kali Landis...totalled 243 kills and 62 blocks...recorded 12 service aces...also tallied 136 digs...notched one double-double (12 kills, 13 digs) September 20 against Appalachian State...recorded a personal best 22 kills against IUPUI September 26.

High School
Earned all-conference and all-area honors by two news publications her junior and senior years...was also a member of the USAV Club Smash.

Daughter of Nathan and Carla Sheets...born November 2, 1984...majoring in women’s studies.

In McKay’s Words
“Ashley will face different obstacles in her final season as every opponent will be prepared and focused on her. This will push her mentally and be a testament to her character and competitiveness. She took her game to another level as a junior and improved her consistency tremendously. We will need strong performances from Ashley and the rest of the team to allow Ashley to accomplish the one goal that has eluded her for four seasons:  a conference championship.”
