Erika Mundt enters her second season as a graduate assistant coach with the Western Illinois swimming and diving program after spending one and a half seasons as a volunteer assistant.
Mundt’s duties with the team include leading dryland workouts with strength and training, assisting with travel arrangements, organizing team camps and other administrative duties.
The Noblesville, Ind., native earned a master’s degree in Sports Administration from Valparaiso in 2005. At Valpo, she served as a graduate assistant to the women’s basketball team where she coordinated team travel, assisted with recruitment of student-athletes and oversaw team managers.
Before Valpo, Mundt was a four-year letterwinner and two-year captain of women’s basketball at Cleveland State. She is currently working toward a master’s of arts in teaching at Western Illinois.
