FIFTH YEAR (2024): Appeared in 7 matches, starting in 1 match against Tennessee Tech... Played a total of 114 minutes on the season... Recorded a season high of 26 minutes in the first OVC conference game against Lindenwood (Sep. 22).
SENIOR (2023): Appeared in 7 matches, starting 2.....totaled 195 minutes on the year.....recorded 4 total shots on the year, with one on target at Chicago State (Aug. 20).....Recorded a season-high 44 minutes played vs. Northern Iowa (Aug. 24).
PREVIOUS: Elise Bush joined the Leathernecks in 2023 as a transfer from Youngstown State. Originally from Henderson, NV., Bush had a successful high school career that included multiple All-League selections and a senior season that saw the midfielder/forward score 21 goals and record 11 assists. At YSU, she made 36 appearances across three seasons in the Penguin midfield and played in 11 games this past season, recording a shot against Duquesne on Aug. 25 while playing a season-high 67 minutes against Loyola Maryland on Aug. 28.
WHY SHE CHOSE WESTERN: Described by her coaches as a hard-worker with a positive attitude, Bush says the decision to play at WIU came down to feeling at home. "I chose Western Illinois due to the coaching staff and the team. I immediately felt at home when I visited campus," she said. "I want to be part of a winning team and I know WIU can do that."
