Murray Cockburn joins the Western Illinois University Women's Soccer staff as a Graduate Assistant starting in the 2021 fall season.

A 2019 graduate of Goshen College, Cockburn played collegiately and was named a team captain during his junior season, earning Offensive Player of the Week honors while leading the team in goals. After his playing career finished, he stayed on with the program as an assistant coach; Cockburn worked in that role for two years. The all-time leading goal-scorer at George Heriot's School in Edinburgh, Scotland, Cockburn also played for several professional teams while in Scotland including Heart of Midlothian, Dunfermline and Livingston.

He plans to study Sport Management while at WIU.
