Daniela Salinas joins Dr. Eric Johnson’s staff as a student assistant for the women’s soccer team. She most recently competed for the Leathernecks, earning the Dean’s List as well as a 2014 Summit League Fall Academic Honor Roll Distinguished Scholar. She was also the team captain as a senior (2015).
Prior to Western, she played at Division II Colorado Mesa University, where she led her team in assists and points. Her team also reached the NCAA Tournament her freshman year. In her two seasons at the program, she was also the class captain.
A native of Burbank, Calif., she also coached the U14 and U16 girls for the Santa Clarita Valley Magic soccer club in 2013. Salinas is currently finishing her undergraduate degree in Public Health, and is set to graduate in May 2017.
