Biography
SENIOR (Fall 2021): Made 17 appearances (16 starts), playing 1,172 minutes… played primarily on the back-line, helping the team finish with three shutouts… recorded three shots on the season, all on goal… assisted the game-winning goal against Kansas City on Oct. 22… scored in her final match as a Leatherneck, a 4-2 home victory against North Dakota on Oct. 31.
JUNIOR (Spring 2021): Made four appearances… played a total of 90 minutes.Â
SOPHOMORE(2019): Started all 18 games… logged over 1400 minutes… had a career-high and team-high three assists… picked up an assist in the season opener against Missouri State (Aug. 23)... had back-to-back games assisting on the game-winning goal versus Northern Iowa (Sept. 23) and Chicago State (Sept. 30)... took 10 shots, five on goal.
FRESHMAN (2018): Made 16 game starts and recorded 1,161 for the season… had 14 shots on goal… also scored one goal against Chicago State (Sept. 14).
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year varsity letterwinner, along with being a three-time Conference Scholar Athlete (2015-17), an All-Sectional honoree (2016-17), First Team NIC-10 All-Conference (2016-17), All-Star Prep at the Best of Rock River (2016-17), 2015 Regional Champion and the team's Most Valuable Player in 2017…. Totaled 32 career goals with 20 assists, and was also a Sectional Qualifier in cross country, and her team's Most Valuable Runner in 2014.

PERSONAL: Born June 20, 2000… daughter of Steve and Julie Grunewald, dad played soccer at Grand Canyon University in 1988. Sister Haley currently plays soccer at Augustana College…. Cites her most memorable sports moment as being her conference rival in high school as a freshman… cites her father as her biggest influence because “he has supported me through the years and has pushed me to be the best I can be”… hobbies include soccer, watching Netflix and hanging out with her friends and family, especially her 5-year-old brother… majoring in athletic training.
