Biography
SOPHOMORE (2024): Made no season appearances.
FRESHMAN (2023): Made her Leatherneck debut on (Sept. 10) at Illinois State...Played full 90 minutes and faced 11 shots.
PERSONAL: Weaver, who was a member of the National Honor Society and the McFarland High School Honor Roll, won the Wisconsin State Championship her sophomore year and played in the championship game her junior season, and notes those championship appearances as the most memorable moments in her soccer career.
The decision for Weaver to attend WIU involved both academics and the ability to join a "wonderful" team.
"I chose Western Illinois because it has a big school atmosphere but has class sizes that are small enough to make connections with your professors," she said. "I also chose Western Illinois because I have the opportunity to play soccer at the Division-I level with a wonderful team."
Weaver played on the 2021 state champion team as a field player, training to eventually take over the starting goalkeeper position. Weaver became the starting goalkeeper in 2022, helping the Spartans back to the state tournament.
Weaver scored three goals in the 2021 season. As the starting goalkeeper last season, Weaver recorded 68 saves and only allowed 19 goals in 23 games.
