Joining Barnes’ staff is Matthew Rosado. Rosado comes to Western Illinois after most recently serving as head cross country and track and field coach at Dakota Wesleyan from January 2021 to June 2024.
As track and field coach at Dakota Wesleyan, Rosado coached two outdoor All-Americans, 14 NAIA Indoor National Meet qualifiers, 15 NAIA Outdoor National Meet qualifiers, and several school record holders.
As a cross country coach, Rosado’s teams were thrice named NAIA Academic All-America. He also coached three NAIA National Meet qualifiers and has several runners atop the program’s top 10 record list.
Before coaching at Dakota Wesleyan, Rosado was head track and field and cross country coach at Roosevelt University from August 2021 to December 2021 and had the same role at Calumet College from August 2020 to August 2021. He also served as an assistant coach at Calumet College from January 2018 to August 2020.
Rosado graduated from Calumet College in May of 2017 with a degree in Integrated Studies.
