Biography

2023-24: West was the lone Leatherneck to start in all 33 games this season. He finished the year with 316 points (9.4 per game) and 197 rebounds (six per game). He was second on the team in rebounds per game and total blocks (36). He was fourth on the team in steals (28) and tied for first in assists (78). He was third on the team in point per game. West scored a season-high 19 points three times (at Valpo, 11/21; vs UT Martin 2/10; at Tennessee Tech 2/15) He had double-doubles vs. UTSA (11/6; 11 points, 13 rebounds); vs. Coe (12/6; 10 points, 10 rebounds); at SIUE (12/31; 15 points, 10 rebounds), vs. Lindenwood (1/6; 14 points, 11 rebounds). West had a season-high four blocks at Lindenwood (2/1) and three five-assist games. West shot 126-249 (50.6 percent) from the field. West was third in minutes per game (28.1)

JUNIOR (2022-23): Played and started in all 30 games. Led the team in rebounds (220) and blocks (52). Averaged 29.2 minutes, 9.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1 steal and 1.7 blocks per game.

Shot 110-214 (51.4 percent) from the field. Had a pair of double-doubles (10 points, 13 rebounds vs. St. Thomas; 11 points, 14 rebounds at St. Thomas). Scored a season-high 18 points vs. UTRGC. Scored in double figured in 15 games and had double-digit rebounds in five games. Seventh in program history in block shots in a single season.
Honors: Named to the Summit League All-Defensive Team.


BEFORE WIU: West joins the Leathernecks after a two-year stint at Southeastern Community College.
This past season, West averaged 13.5 points points and 9.3 rebounds per game, starting 29 games. West shot 57.8 percent from the field for the Blackhawks last season. During his freshman year, West started 21 of 23 games, scoring 11 points and grabbing 7.7 rebounds per contest. West was named to the NJCAA All-Star Game this past season.
