Biography

Greg Lautzenheiser is entering his second year as a graduate assistant at Western Illinois University and will serve as the primary contact for cross country, softball, tennis (fall) and women's basketball for the 2009-10 academic/athletic year.

Before coming to Western, he spent the spring semester of his senior year in 2008 completing an internship in the athletic media services office at the University of Findlay. At Findlay he was responsible for creating press releases and updating the athletic website for the indoor track and field teams as well as assisting in game day operations for men's and women's basketball games and baseball and softball games.

Lautzenheiser completed his undergraduate studies at Bowling Green State University, earning a bachelors of science degree in sports management. During his undergraduate career, he served in several capacities in the athletic department as a student manager for the BGSU men's basketball team under former BGSU and Indiana head coach Dan Dakich as well as completing a practicum experience in the athletic media relations office in 2007-08. In addition to his athletic department work experience, he was also a resident advisor, an orientation and registration leader, a member of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity and an active participant in Ohio's largest student run philanthropy, Dance Marathon.

The Van Wert, Ohio, native is currently pursuing his master’s degree in recreation, park and tourism administration.
