Biography
SOPHOMORE (Spring 2021): Appeared in five games with one start… start came at Omaha (March 6) and played all 90 minutes… logged 188 minutes.
FRESHMAN (2019): Played in six games on four starts… made Leatherneck debut at Green Bay (Sept. 1)... totaled 306 minutes… had a shot on goal versus Northwestern (Sept. 12).
HIGH SCHOOL: Went to Ralston Valley… played soccer for both the Real Colorado and Colorado Rush Development Academies… earned honor roll all four years… a member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Born Nov. 26, 2000… son of Patty Petrozelli and Mike McDonnell… chose Western, “ because of its high level Division 1 soccer program and to start my career in biology/pre-med”… most memorable sports moment was “playing against FC Dallas Academy and Sporting KC Academy. I was able to shut down players Gianluca Busio and Bryan Reynolds, who are now playing in the MLS, from scoring goals and dribbling past me”… lists parents as his major influence on his sports career because, “they started my soccer career when I was 3 years old. They have supported me all of these years by driving me to practice and games and allowing me to travel across the country. Also, my old coach Michael Lin was a major influence on my soccer career because he helped develop me when I was little and has assisted me when I have had questions about my soccer career”… likes to play basketball, snowboard, camping and jet skiing… majoring in Biology
