JUNIOR (2020-21): Summit League Preseason Golfer to Watch... started off his junior campaign with a bang by earning medalist honors at the ASU Spring Classic... best round of the season happened in the Beu Mussatto Invitational when he shot a 70 on the final day... posted two even-par rounds... finished with a 76.53 average.

SOPHOMORE (2019-20): Played in 19 rounds... Averaged 77.05 per round... Turned in a season-low round of 72 in the final round of the Alabama State Spring Kickoff... Fired a 74 on five different occasions, including the first round of the Benbow Invitational... Tied for 11th individually with a 154 (+10) at the Benbow Invitational.

FRESHMAN (2018-19): Played in 24 rounds... Averaged 76.42 per round... Shot a career-low 69 in the final round of the Beu Mussatto Invitational while tying for third overall... Tied for fifth individually with a 148 (+4) at the Benbow Invitational... Registered five rounds under par. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-time sectional qualifier at Plainfield South High School...All-Conference in 2016 and 2017...Lettered in golf for all four years and baseball for one...Holds the Plainfield South boys golf 18-hole low score record...Won three of seven individual tournaments as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born July 15, 2000...Son of Tom and Patsy Govern...His father Tom plus uncles Tim and Terry all played golf at Western Illinois...Most memorable sports moment is being medalist at the 2017 SPC Conference Tournament...Lists his dad as a major sports influence because "growing up I was always around the game of golf because it was a part of our family but nobody stopped me when I wanted to play baseball at the beginning of my athletic life. The choice was always mine, and I just so happened to find my way back to golf".
