Biography

John Teerlinck,2000 - John was a three-year football letterwinner for WIU from 1971-73. Teerlinck was named an All-American, the team co-captain and defensive MVP as a senior in 1973 and was the first Leatherneck player to record four sacks in a game and still remains one of only four Leathernecks to ever accomplish that feat. Teerlinck was drafted in the fifth round by the San Diego Chargers in 1973. He has since established himself as one of the finer defensive coaches in the game, serving in both the college at professional ranks. Teerlinck has two Super Bowl rings, helping the Denver Broncos win back-to-back titles in 1998 and 1999.
